This is my debut comic entitled It Never Happened printed on riso in 3 colors. This is the design part of my Bachelor's Degree (2020). The publication consists of 28 pages in A5 format and an A3 poster inside.
In this project, I wanted to face the design challenge that is posed by creating a picture story. A zine is a form of "reviving" my illustration style through a comic book. I constructed a loose, slightly abstract narrative using words, visual language, and the natural human tendency to combine sequentially occurring images. It's about a fantastic story of the main character who wakes up in prison in the form of a box suspended in outer space. The style of the illustrations refers to the theme of the comic. Wavy, melting shapes and vivid colors emphasize the falsehood of the presented world. The comic book is dreamlike and its construction is built by seemingly unrelated stories that ultimately form a coherent whole.
